Review content:
The Cats restaurant is housed in a historic building that used to be a stagecoach stop back in the 1800's. The decor is a fun mix of old and new. Nothing quite matches. Spend some time looking into dark corners and you'll see bits and pieces of it's long history.
The food is good, but it's really the atmosphere that is the best part about The Cats. The cuisine is American and The Cats also has a full-service bar, which is often host to live music and stand-up comics.
The Cats is situated right next to the large stone cats that Los Gatos is famous for. The cat statues alone are worth a stop if you haven't seen them. About 8' tall, they sit regally on either side of a gateway, guarding the entrance to an old mansion. At first glance, the cats appear to be identical. But look closely and you'll see that they are slightly different, with different expressions on their faces. They even have names- Leo and Leona!
Head for The Cats for dinner and you'll get a peek back into the local history of the town of Los Gatos!
