Review content:
We had our taxes done by these ""professionals"" in 2012 for the 2011 year and it seemed as if our ""tax expert"" was confused. She sent us away and had us come back at a later date to sign our taxes. We went on about our business until Jan. of 2013 when we got a letter in the mail from the state saying we owed them money (which we had received a return from them earlier that year) because when our taxes were filed it did not include my husbands retirement fund. (I don't know the ends and outs of it, so I left it up to him and our tax lady to deal with it.) It was only $50 so it wasn't that big of a deal for my husband. I felt uneasy about going back this year, and for GOOD reason. I tried to convince my husband to go else where but he is a creature of habit and they were close. Well, again this year, she is confused about several things and sends us away and has us come back to sign the papers. H&R block messed up thousands of students taxes (my husband and I are both students, as well as he is a full time police officer) causing a delay in returns. That was frustrating, but the worst part is that I told her my last name changed because we got married and she replied with ""ya ya, of course."". We finally got out return 8 weeks later. Today, I tried to fill out my FAFSA and noticed that my last name is still wrong on our taxes. I can't believe that she forgot to do a simple name change after I saw her type it in to the computer. Evidently it didn't save, or they just started over because she had everything so messed up. Two years in a row we have paid out the rear for them to mess up our taxes. So much for them ""putting us at ease"" like they claim.
