We have been going to another Mexican restaurant in Salt Lake City for 20 years but they changed. They became in consistent and we never knew what kind of meal we were going to get. We switched to La Frontera about a year ago and we'll never go back.\r

La Fronter is a good restaurant but this location, in particular, is a great one. The ambience is nothing to brag about and it's just a big dining hall but the service and the food are the best and always the same. We love the chilli verde burrito. None better in Salt Lake if you're into chilli verde like we are and it's always consistently good. Our other restaurant wasn't. One night it was too spicy, the next night not spicy enough and we were always told ""there was a new cook on duty"". That excuse is only good for a few times and then it's adios amigo.\r

Finally, don't forget to order the french fries. They are terrific. Whoda thunk it in a Mexican restaurant but these are about as good of homemade fries as you'll find in Salt Lake City. The service here is also very friendly and fast. We recommend it highly and especially this location.
Pros: Great food served fast and friendly.
Cons: If you're looking for fancy this isn't the place.
