When I first moved to New York, I had one horrifying experience after the next, trying to find a salon that could do good work at a reasonable price. Then one day I saw a stranger with perfect highlights ? I couldn?t help but inquire. Once she referred me, I never turned back. Everyone on staff is so sweet and knowledgeable. From the shampoo girls (who do the real head-massage shampoo!) to the receptionist (who always greets you with a song and a smile) to the stylists (who know their stuff; once I was given personal lessons in hair washing so that I would create less damage) ? this place is the real deal. During my last visit, I heard a woman exclaim: ?I just love looking at myself!? Although I couldn?t help but chuckle, she was completely correct. Whenever I leave, I feel refreshed and ready for anything. I have been seeing my stylist from Rubann for quite awhile now, and I have to say I will not go to anyone else. My mom even likes my hair now ? small miracle? !
