An F Rating & 21 Complaints in the Better Business Bureau Database, Unethical management, and mediocre instruction. We have had a terrible experience with the Florida Conservatory of Music. We repeatedly arrived for our lessons, after a 25 minute ride, to find that our instructor was absent. Make-up lessons were offered without much of an apology. Twice, we arrived for the make-up lessons only to find that the instructor once again wasn’t present. I hand delivered a written notice to the manager alerting him to the fact that we would be discontinuing lessons after one month because of the repeated absences by the instructors. He personally took the letter from my hand and said nothing. However, 30 days later another automatic withdrawal was again taken from my account. The reason given was that the letter wasn't faxed. Upon calling to clear up the issue, we were verbally abused and told that they would be collecting money for 4 more months. We were accused of breaking a contract, although they claimed no responsibility for breaking there end of the contract which clearly stated that we would have a lesson weekly. When an instructor doesn't show... you don't have a lesson. You are better off finding another place for your child to enjoy music.
