This is one of our favorite places in the city. The Gnocchi is the best we've had outside of Italy. The key is to order it with the sauce from the pasta special. It is usually a pink sauce with Shrimp and crab. The Tiramisu is also excellent. Be prepared to wait, the restaurant is a BYOB (a plus) with no bottle charge, but also has NO waiting area. You basically stand in the door. The staff is very pleasant but on busy nights can get backed up. You are not rushed and can usually finish your bottle of wine in peace. There is a nice back room for larger parties. (We've gone with as many as 20 people with a reservation). The price is reasonable, usually less than $100 per couple including tip for Appetizer, Entrees and dessert. Did I mention the Tiramisu. This may not be a destination spot, but it is a can't miss when you crave good Italian.
