Ate at Gonzo last night for the first time and I really loved it. I don't know how I missed this place for so long. I'm in the West Village all the time, but it is kind of hidden on 13th Street. Anyway the food was great. We had their ""famous"" grilled pizza, which lived up to it's hype. Also, the penne gratin was fabulous, although I took half of it home because I was stuffed. It's very rich. I still however managed to find room for a delectable brown sugar cheesecake. The other thing I really liked about the place is the warm friendly feeling. It might not be 4 star service, but the staff is very nice and go out of their way to make you feel at home. It also doesn't break the bank, which is really good considering the economy. Pros: Very good food, warm friendly service Cons: A little loud at times
