Review content:
Ever since their swanky overhaul was completed earlier this year, Union Street Restaurant seems also to have overhauled their concept of good service. As a frequent customer there over the last few years, I became familiar with the bartenders and waitstaff, who always made sure we were taken care of. I've been disappointed as of late by the slow, cold service, and the inflexible nature of the management on NFL Sundays. Though they have NFL Ticket, they have made a conscious decision not to maximize the number of games that they're able to show on their many screens. Perhaps they feel it is a good business move to show only the ""most requested"" games each Sunday, but it's unfortunate that they're OK with losing the most loyal of regular customers over this policy.
Pros: Good food, One of few pubs in Newton Center
Cons: Poorly managed
