I've used Dr Gill since moving to the FTW area 8 years ago, despite the fact that I've lived 15 miles away from his office for the past five years. He's the only vet for me. I take my mother and my grandmother's cats and dogs to him too. He'd be my horse vet too if he made farm calls! Dr. Gill is very knowledgeable with respect to reptiles, birds, exotics, horses, cats and dogs. If it swims, crawls, farts, wiggles, walks or flies, Dr. Gill has probably already treated it and can treat yours too. His tech staff regularly rescues and rehabs our native Texas species. I've taken several baby cardinals to his staff to rehab that I've found over the years. They always accept them with a smile and kept me updated on the progress of their wards up through release. These folks do not get paid for rehab work, relying on donations and on their own wages because ""it's the right thing to do"". Before I chanced upon Broadway Animal Clinic, I did not think such people existed in veterinary medicine anymore. WOW! Rehabbing any baby animal is expensive, usually thankless, sometimes heartbreaking, always time-intensive and most definitely a labor of love; all which shows the quality of the caring people Dr. Gill attracts and employs in his small, folksy practice. He does this by example, I might add, as he himself volunteers on the animal control advisory board for several cities. Dr. Gill really cares about all of God's creatures (including you and me) and it shows in his practice and his professional affiliations. Dr. Gill keeps costs down, has a no-nonsense practical outlook, a kind heart and often gives me more in service and experience than he ever charges. Neither he, nor any of his staff will guilt any ""extras"" (questionable healing crystals, overpriced collars, ""designer"" animal clothing) off on you for the extra buck. Dr. Gill also has practical advice on homeopathic remedies and is happy to share his experiences. He is always willing to listen to any treatment or factoid I have read about on the internet and share his opinion on it. This is a vet that greets everybody at the main office door with a smile and kind word as he opens it for you, (heck, he even answers the phones when it gets busy), has a great sense of humor and always has time to answer questions. If you want a friendly, homespun atmosphere with cute hand-drawn murals on the walls and floor (in place of stuffy, self-important, needlessly expensive faux-textured ""everything"" at other places) with loyal, long-term and equally knowledgeable tech staff, a vet who is genuinely concerned about your pet AND your budget and who will always give you the truth about your pet's issue based on over 40 years of experience, then by all means, go see Dr. Gill in Haltom City, Texas.
