Review content:
After eating at Typhoon several times and enjoying it, my husband and I went on an early evening at the end of a hot day this summer. As we walked in, I thought the room was rather warm, but I put that down to having walked two blocks from where we had parked;. We ordered. I kept feeling hot. We ate the appetizers. I felt even hotter. Finally I asked the waitress whether she felt hot and she said, oh, well, the air conditioner was broken so there was no air conditioning that night. Which I felt was deceptive; they should have warned people as they came in (it was in the mid-90s outside!!). I expressed some discontent about this to the waitress, who said nothing, really. A few minutes later, the entrees arrived. These were, of course, hot, and as I ate mine in my already overheated state I felt too ill to continue. We asked to have the entrees packaged to take home. Meanwhile, I went to the hostess stand to complain--assuming that our bill would be reduced since we hadn't even been able to stay--but the hostess just said 'sorry, we can't do anything about the air conditioning.' Bad enough, but when I got home and opened my styrofoam container of pad thai, there was hair in it. Not just one piece, but two long strands of hair right on top of the food. The pad thai went into trash; I had cereal for dinner.
