Businiess name:  Lavande Nail Spa

Review content:
If you're looking for a nail salon that offers the amenities and comfort of a high priced day spa without paying premium dollar, than this is the place to go. Lavende offers waxing, facials, and massages in addition to various nail services. The Santana Row location is an airy, spacious storefront with elegant furnishings and a soothing atmosphere. My first experience at Lavande took place about 8 months ago in the SF location. Given that I was 15 min late on a Sat afternoon, I understood that it would be difficult to keep the appt. However, I was not offered any suggestions to reschedule, wait, or come back later. Rather what I received was a rude, "Sorry, we can't take you". I found them to be somewhat rude and condescending. Recently, I decided to give them another chance and went to the Santana Row location. It's definitely a place to go to if you want a clean, pretty environment. For a mani/pedi, prices are decent ($35) and the quality of the work is a tad above the typical nail shop, but definitely cannot compare with that of a day spa. Service was lacking at this location also. Although the front counter girls spoke english and were friendly and polite, the girls doing nails did not speak much english, and they all seemed to chat more amongst themselves than with the clients. After I was seated, I requested a specific polish color, and had my request ignored. This was rather uncomfortable as I did not want to demand to get up and grab the color I wanted on my toes, or further upset the girl doing my nails, since she seemed to be annoyed by this request. Luckily for me I saw something similar laying around and I just settled for that one. In summary, a decent salon for the price, but don't expect too much on the service side.
