my boyfriend and i had breakfast at bouchon before heading back home and even though i really enjoyed it, he wasn't as impressed. first, the service is impeccable. our coffee was poured so discreetly that i didn't even see the waiter. little bread rolls were brought to our table straight out of the oven on a cloth napkin, with butter and jam of course. we also ordered the baguette, which came out piping hot wrapped in a paper sleeve, with nutella spread - yum! i ordered the croque madame - grilled ham and cheese on brioche with a fried egg on top, all covered in a mornay sauce, and pomme frittes on the side - and my boyfriend had the signature french toast. the mornay sauce, whatever it is, was light and went really well with both the ham and the frittes. the french toast was more dense than expected and not at all hot, more lukewarm than anything else... it was just okay. next time, he'll order the corned beef hash and eggs, which is always a great way to measure a restaurant's worth, breakfast wise. all in all, though, i'd say this was the perfect way to end our vegas trip =) Pros: warm bread and butter and jam, service, ambience Cons: warm food rather than hot
