We had a wonderful experience at Pizzeria Valdiano in Winter Park Village. We went on a Sunday early evening, and the gentlemen behind the counter were welcoming and friendly. They had a nice, varied selection of pizzas, strombolis, and calzones, and they make their own cannolis fresh. Staff was helpful and not rushing us when it came to making a selection, and their printed menu lists a variety of other types of pizzas and salads.
The food was phenomenal. We had a pepperoni stromboli and a spicy pepperoni pizza. The sauces tasted as if they were freshly made. The pizza dough was thin and crisp, and the flavors of the pizza were clean and distinguished. This pizza has cherry peppers, which is what really drew us to this pizzeria. The stromboli was nicely filled, and the marinara sauce was HOT and flavorful!
Only cons that we can think of are that the soda refills cost money (only a quarter), and the online menu does not list prices. Price-wise, this pizzeria isn't too bad, considering the types of ingredients they use, the flavor, and the general ambiance.
We will definitely be coming back to valdianos!
