Review content:
I went to Susanna Foo with my boyfriend for the first time two days ago. When we walked in, we were very impressed with the classy ambience. We had a lovely waiter who recommended the duck entree but neither of us were in the mood for it. So I ordered the pork pot-stickers for appetizer and the mushu pork with steamed pancakes and hoisin sauce for the entree while my boyfriend ordered the mongolian lamb with eggplant. The pork pot-stickers were amazing although it could do away with some grease. The pork in the dumpling was juicy and had a taste that sets it apart from the dim sum at chinatown. Having had the appetizer, I had very high expectations for the entree. Sad to say though, the entrees were major disappointments. The presentation simply wasn't there; the dishes looked like ordinary stir fried dishes from a chinese restaurant served on extra clean plates. I would not be rating the place 2 stars if the dishes tasted as ordinary as they looked but to our further dismay, both our entrees tasted horrible. My mushu pork was extremely salty that my tongue numbed after 3 mouths full. In addition, my boyfriend's lamb on was smelly and he was very convinced that it must have been in the freezer for months. The eggplant that was stir fried together had an unusually unpleasant spongy texture. To get rid of the unpleasant after taste of these dishes, we ordered the ricotta cheesecake which thankfully was consoling. Overall, I am very disappointed with the restaurant and will never return. Pros: Ambience Cons: Food, Price
