I am the proud owner of a 6 month old Dobie named ""Jezebel""...I had heard about Barks through some friends of mine in the area and decided to do my research before trusting them with my baby. When I found all of these reviews on here I have to admit that at first I was put off by the couple of negative reviews, but I kept reading. I am glad I kept reading and saw many more positive things people had to say rather than negative, and I visited them first before boarding this Christmas. This is definitely not the most up to date or fancy kennel in the world but let me tell you that the staff were so welcoming!! They were all so helpful and knowledgeable. Also, in my search for a kennel in this area I visited quite a few...the main thing I noticed when I walked in this one was how clean the place was and how good it smelled! You couldnt even tell it was a dog place! I would rather take my dog to a place that cares and is knowledgeable about animals, I am not paying for a fancy kennel, I am paying for them to care for and nurture my ""Jezebel"", trust me she doesnt care about the way her kennel looks, LOL! I wouldnt be suprised if she didnt destroy their kennel like she does at home! Also, the other thing that was awesome was they have a lobby full of holistic and natural dog food, I went ahead and switched ""Jez"" from Blue Buffalo to Nature's Variety...there was a girl there that caught me at check out becasue she saw the Blue Buffalo bag and shared some alarming facts about Blue that I wasnt currently aware of! Wow, I will be back, many times, I would reccommend visiting this place, you will want to come back!
