Review content:
As a middle-aged single woman, it is sometimes hard to feel comfortable at a nice restaurant so I stopped into the new Victory 44 for a quick bite and a beer. I left feeling like an old friend! Rolf, the server explained some of the highlights of the menu and was attentive and concerned about how my choices were - and they were excellent! I had the English peas on toast and Dragsmith greens - a very fresh and refreshing salad, unlike any I have had before. Ryan, the manager stopped by my table to welcome me and make sure things were as I expected, and I reassured him they were not - they were better! Topped off with a recommendation from Rolf from a great selection of beers and fabulous dessert, I had a great, leisurely meal in my own neighborhood. After hearing about their breakfast from enthusiastic Rolf, I had to go back the next morning and again was very pleased with the tender and flakey biscuits topped with savory sausage and gravy. My only regret is that I haven't had a chance to get back yet there to sample the rest of the menu!
Pros: Excellent food - friendly staff
Cons: a little expensive
