Review content:
I found this thru Citysearch, and called to order- only to find out that they were closed on Sundays. But to my surprise, the owner/chef said that he would make an exception and prepare our meal. That in itself is a beautiful gesture. Since I didn't have a menu, he talked me thru my choices, and made sure that what I ordered was in fact what I wanted. 25 minutes later, my husband walked in with a beautiful variety of sushi and sashimi. The fish were perfectly cut, and melt in your mouth tender and the wasabi and ginger were bountiful and fresh. It's hands down the best Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood, and definitely gives those downtown restaurants a fierce competition.
Our chef even called, right as we were sitting down to devour our wonderful meal, just to find out if everything was to our liking. I don't know about you- but I haven't experienced that very often here.
They have made a patronage of us- we will definitely be back!
Pros: fresh, authentic, close to home
Cons: not yet!
