I'm a pretty average guy, not much into the bar-hopping, or clubbing scene, but I stumbled upon a real gem when I happened into the Black Brimmer for the first time. My wife and I were out on our weekly Tuesday night date. We had missed the movie we wanted to see, and were just cruising and trying to find something else to do. (On a Tuesday night... yeah right!) We had pretty much given up and were headed home when we rode by the Black Brimmer... Live music on a Tuesday night??? Why not. We stopped in. The place was comfortably crowded, had beautiful antique victorian style decor, dance floor, sports on t.v. friendly atmosphere. The Band was good, but the lead singer.... No wonder they were playing on a Tuesday... We went in and sat at a table in the back, The waitress was quick and pleasant. After the first song ended the ""problem"" with the lead singer was explained...
Pros: Friendly atmosphere
Cons: limited parking early in the day, but after 5 there is usually plenty.
