I'm not a regular Mani/Pedi girl. Once every 3 months or so I will treat myself to a Manicure from a salon. I will say I was not especially impressed with the manicure. So I would have given 3 stars for the manicure/pedicure if the owner was not so horrible!
What I can comment on is the rudeness of the owner. I went in on a living social deal as well back in March. I had tried to go in in January only to be told the Living Social Deal had to be called in in advance. I was a tad bit upset to be turned away when it said walk in's welcome. It was pretty far out of my way. At this point I did not want to come back, but I had spent the money and so when I had cooled down I made the appointment.
When I show up she mentioned that I had to pay tax on the service and they did not except Credit Cards for less than $10.... I do not carry cash... We argued forever about what to do. Her answer was to go to the ATM outside (and pay extra fees) - oh and if I left and went to my bank she would render my certificate invalid.
I finally came up with a solution to do a french manicure on my fingers (for $8 EXTRA!) plus tip on the entire thing. I was so stressed out. I really just did not want to be there!
I never got my $10 gift certificate to return - not that I would have come back! I tipped well because I felt bad for the tech.
On the way out the owner takes away the flimsy foam flipflops that ever other nail place give you for free and says I should have brought the right shoes!!!!!! I WALKED OUT BAREFOOT!!!! Never in my life!
Months later I am writing this review to tell you to stay away from this place. I spent more here than I would of at my local nail salon. This place needs to GO AWAY!
