Review content:
We're new customers to this clinic, and have so far been left with a very bad impression. We purchased heartworm medication for our dog, and were given the price of $99.96. I asked why it was so expensive (we paid less 6 months ago at another clinic), and the girl at the front desk said it was because ""prices have gone up."" I took her at her word at the time, but I later called around to other clinics (and looked online), and found out that you can get this medication for $70. When I went to return the medication to Northwest Austin Veterinary Clinic, the guy at the front desk said, ""We don't do internet price matching"" and added ""You can find it cheaper in other parts of town."" I guess they only want to sell overpriced meds to their snooty clientele in northwest Austin. Additionally, while I was waiting for my refund, I saw one of their vet techs in the back half toss a cat that was brought in for a spay into a kennel and slam the door. I would've been furious if my animal had been treated like that, especially before a traumatic surgery. Based on these experiences, we will NOT be returning to this clinic. You can find cheaper and more friendly places in Austin.
Pros: They're professional vets.
Cons: You can find professional vets that don't screw you on price.
