Review content:
I asked Dr. Kubena to be the pediatrician to my first born son. She was not recommended, her office was down the street from us. We interviewed her beforehand and she seemed ok. When he was born, we asked that she circumcise him. He was born at Methodist Hospital. After she performed the procedure she came to my room and told me everything went well. When he was brought to me, he was in a blood soaked diaper and his penis had been skinned to his shaft. I immediately called her to ask her about it, she told me that was normal and that was the way it was supposed to be. The nursing staff got a hospital administrator to come see him. He was immediately seen by a pediatric urologist who told us he had never seen such a botched circumcision in all of his career. My son required daily care for over a month. When I confronted her about it, she told me it was because his (penis) head was too big!!! REALLY?!?!!? A complain to the Texas Medical Board was filed but nothing was done. She will be sued as soon as my son is old enough to present a suit against her for the scarring that he will have to endure for the rest of his life. He is only 3 now. The nursing staff at the hospital told me off record this was not the first time this happens with Dr. Kubena.
