Review content:
I stumbled onto this page while researching the F. St. Station company history. I have read review after review on this site saying the F. St. Station is an unsafe place to dine. It is a Bar in downtown Anchorage! While the increase in UAA hockey players has lead to some unsavory fits of adolescent violence, this is true of any bar in that area. Anytime a metropolitan area has 6-8 popular drinking spots within walking distance there is bound to be unpreventable problems. As far as blaming the staff, this is just poor judgment. I have been witness to 3 altercations that have resulted there. In one an individual reacted poorly and tried to fight a nearby man who made a comment. The security promptly contained and removed the individual. The other was shook up but handled himself fine. Alcohol was a FACTOR! If you can not hold your own in a bar in Alaska then don't go. The F. St. is no different then any other bar in the area that is afflicted with the same problem. I have witnesses countless fights in bars downtown. Guess how many punches I have received in 7 years of attending these establishment. None. Maybe I'm lucky. Anytime there is a social gathering and different strangers mingle, there is bound to be some altercations. It happens at little league, and it happens at Alaskan bars. The street is an unsafe place to walk, but I bet you continue to walk over them everyday. In closing, Go eat there in the afternoon. They have some of the best food in town year round. But anyone who expects to see a downtown Anchorage pubs best service after 9 p.m. is going to be disappointed. That's just how it is in that area at that time of night. Security does there best to provide service to all and filter out those that are of an unsavory crowd. But beware... It's a bar. Alcohol will be served there, and if you haven't been around inebriated people before, then you probably won't like it. Quit Whining and go get your stitches. Pros: Great Food, Knowledgeable staff, Suicidally Awesome Chili ! Cons: It's a bar downtown
