I am a 40 yr old female who had a pretty severe case of bunions on both feet. After putting off the procedure for years, I finally got the courage to make the appointment and find out what I was up against. I had heard horror stories about bunion surgery, and to expect that I would probably be out of commission for months. After visiting with Dr. Randy Lisch, I found out this was far from true and my mind was put at ease. Dr. Lisch explained everything completely and gave me realistic expectations. I had my right foot done first and 5 weeks later the left foot. (Dr. Lisch recomends not having both done at the same time, which is smart choice). The procedure went smoothly and I walked out of the surgery center that same morning with only a bandage and orthotic shoe. The recovery was tolerable; the only nuisance being that I had to wear a plastic bag over my foot when I showered, and wear the orthotic shoe for 5 weeks afterward. The pain was minimal and subsided after the first week. It was all well worth it in the end and I am so glad I did it. My feet look and feel great! Dr. Lisch and his staff are wonderful and I highly recommend Austin Happy Feet to anyone considering this procedure or any other podiatry services!
