Review content:
I searched the Internet to find a grooming facility that had good ratings. I stumbled upon Sheabel Pet Care and felt confident that my dog would be taken care of. My daughter took my dog in and told the groomer not to cut her short. She was told that there was one of her vaccinations that needed to be administered and the groomer was given the OK to continue. I received a call that my dog was ready and the groomer proceeded to explain that she had to cut her short because of some matting. I said OK and was shocked when I first saw my dog. Short was an understatement, but I let that pass. A few days later my dog started to cough and within no time all three of my dogs were sick. They were taken to the my vet which told us that they had Kennel cough. I called Sheabel to discuss the vet bill and was told that someone would call me back. A Vet called back and proceeded to let me know that the vaccination that was given, not by the vet by the way but by the groomer, was for Kennel Cough but was not effect for two weeks after it was given. I asked why was the vaccination given then? The vet proceeded to talk down to me which was very upsetting. I had not planned to take my dog back because of the grooming issue but after the unprofessional treatment from the Vet I definitely will not be going back. I would not recommend this establishment. I hope this review gets posted so others do not have to be treated like my family has.
