My cat was having severe trouble urinating. My car was in the shop and I had no transportation, so I took the bus to Petsmart at Balcones Woods Dr. and talked to the vet there for a bit. She refused to recommend any kind of food or give any help at all without me bringing my cat in for sedation and urinalisys etc. I was also told the cat would be dead in 48 hours. Of course I left there very upset. I was able to get a ride from a friend later that night to Spangler Animal Clinic. Even though it was more than an hour after closing, Dr Spangler agreed to wait to see me. He was able to determine the cats condition by gently squeezing the cats bladder and discovered the cat not to be blocked. He gave him a shot and sent me home with some antibiotics and specail food . Its really nice to see that there are Veterinarians around that are not out to get as much money as they can by running a bunch of tests and shooting x-rays that are not absolutely necessary. If you care about your pets, I highly recommend you send them to Spangler Animal Clinic. Dr. Spangler is very knowledgeable, down to earth, and really cares about his patients and their owners.
