Review content:
This is one of those paint your own ceramics type of places that have become fashionable. The premise is you come in, buy a piece of unpainted ceramic and then paint it any way you'd like. You leave it there, they fire it sometime within a few days period and you can go back and pick it up.
I have a few problems with this place. First of all, it's really quite expensive for something that I would likely screw up. One false move of the paint brush and my $25 bucks would become trash. Secondly, I think you have to be a pretty good artist to make the money worth it. Third, for those with kids, I don't think they would appreciate the delayed gratification of leaving their works of art to be fired and they're not the type to appreciate the spendiness of it all.
I prefer the painted penguin in Bloomingdale because it's less expensive and you can walk out with your completed product.
