Anyone that has been in business for themselves knows that a company is the refection of the owner and or management. I have had my own business for the past 30 years as a Veterinarian in SanDiego, CA. I moved to San Antonio with my dogs to retire about 4 months ago. To make a long story short, my only concern that I have now is making sure my 2 Labradors are well taken care of. My daughter told me about this great place called Rob Carey's Pet Resort. I was immediately thrilled, so I decided to take my Labs for a drive and check the place out. Well when I got there I guessed I walked into a bad situation. There was a woman by name of Tammie who was scolding one of the workes there who later proceeded to walk away in tears. I felt very bad for the young lady who had just been humiliated in front of the staff and customers. Unfortunately I was standing in line long enough to hear the woman (Tammi) say how much she new and how professional she was. I was under the impression that she was some kind of manager. Lets hope that she wasn't, because people in management position DO NOT conduct business in such a manner. I understand that people can have a bad day, but you are still obligated to be a professional regardless of the circumstances. I thought to myself as the quarrel went on, do I really want my dogs in a place where there was this kind of management/leadership. First and foremost, you should always take care of your workers! They are the ones who will be the spirit that drives success and the face that represents your business. A unhappy employee is a NON PRODUCTIVE employee, which can lead to bad reviews of a companies morals and place in society. With all this in mind, I thought it best not to put my pets in that kind of environment. This event was some months ago, hopefully things have gotten better. This review is in no way to discourage customers or defimate the companies integrity. It is simply my experience there and I wish them best of luck.
