Rob Cary Pet Resort

I have used Rob Cary for several different classes, obedience, Ring Manners and we are currently taking Rally with Tammi White. We love our classes! I'm not sure why in our society people are so quick to jump on any negatives but few take the time to write about the positives. Tammi has been great, yes, she'll correct us but do it in such a way we all laugh and have so much fun! If you really want to learn and compete I highly recommend her as an instructor. I can't say enough good about her, her knowledge and how the class is so much fun! Tammi sincerely cares about each of us, so much so that she really worries about us getting home safe if the weather turns bad. Just tonight I signed up for another 4 week class and look forward to every minute! Tammi thank you so much for all you do to teach us how to do things the right way from the beginning!! I boarded my pets there for about two weeks. They are very.active dogs ..I didn't get them groomed (should have) they had their own indoor outdoor run. Other places just have cages...At check out they cleaned them up I didn't expect them to come out sparkling but they were clean and happy....I went home happy. Will board there again.. more

I would not recommend this kennel if you plan to leave your pets more than a couple of days. I picked up my dogs after a month the little one was not clean nor was her bedding and she had a sneeze and cough. Of the staff some where very nice others very very rude, had a put upon attitude and condescending. Extremely overpriced considering filth on dog. When we got home I washed her to remove turds on her paws and under her tail. They never washed her bedding. Which I guess is ok but had I been td that I would have brought extra. I would rate it a 1 star. more

Won't go on for pages, just wanted to say after over a hundred plus visits to board or groom my four dogs, I have only had one bad interaction with the staff, a few so so, and ninety plus great ones. And the pups always seem to have a good time - the longer they stay, the less excited they seem to go home. Even got a card with the oldest dog Revinious Redux passed on. Class act more

We have taken our dogs to Rob Cary for many years and love the fact that all the employees truly love the animals they care for. We have boarded, trained and groomed our dogs there and could not ask for better care and attention. Once while kenneled they took one of our dogs to our vet when a problem developed. They really pay attention to the animals. I love that they have a 1-800 number you can call daily to check on your pets. You couldn't pick a better place to care for your pet. Peggy B. more

special nice ways my yorkie loves his vacation when kenneled at Rob Cary Pet Resort! Jelly Bean stays at Rob Cary Pet Resort about 50 days a year, over a 14 year period....all is well. more

Our great dane has been hospitalized 3 days now with a severe case of phenomia. Thank goodness he has responded well to the oxygen and IV antibiotics and did not have to be asperated. The prognosis is good and we are hoping to pick him up on Monday..It is believed he contracted this while boarding. I have contacted the owner Caryl at Rob Carey Pet Resort and she was very understanding and concerned. She is going to speak with my vet regarding the type of cleaner they use in the facility to make sure that what they use will fight off any bacteria. I will keep you posted! more

Just got back from the vet for the second visit with my great dane. Since boarding at Rob Carey less than 3 weeks ago he has lost 12 pounds. Called Rob Carey and they say he was eating but still lost 8 pounds in their care maybe due to stress...They also indicated during all the rains they had a lock down and put dogs inside the under cover. Dane running 104.5 fever this morning and lethargic. blood tests indicate a stomach infection. Appreciated the comment from Judy. I will never again board my dogs outside our own home and look into alternate in home care in the future. Could this have been prevented?? I don't know... I can only speculate at this point. Better safe than sorry next time. more

Never again will I board my dogs at Rob Carey Pet Resort. They have over extended themselves and DO NOT give the necessary care to the dogs. Ample bedding not allowed, the fleece throw was a joke, especially for a great dane!!! Both our dogs lost weight, although they are so concerned about the amount that they should be fed but don't monitor this. The dane had bleeding sores on his elbows from laying on concrete which had to be treated. I am taking both dogs to the vet today as they have been sick since taking them out of the kennel. With all the rain, they obviously left them in the outside part of the kennel where they got wet and were cold. Dane coughing up mucous since the day he came home and the boxer has a terrible runny nose!!! So to top it off after paying $26.00 per day per dog in one kennel I am having to spend again on a vet visit to get them well! They were both traumatized during their stay and still after one week not back to normal..The only nice thing i can say is that they bathed them well and cut their nails... Do it right or don't do it at all Rob Carey Pet Resort. more

Rob Cary's Pet Resort is the worst place to leave your pet in the world. They overbook the facility and they will not let you see where they are putting the dog in the back somewhere and they will not let you go into the back to get your dog when you pick it up. When we picked our dog up she had urine all over her hind quarters soaking wet in her own urine. We left her there for 1 day only thank GOD! She was traumatized for several hours after we picked her up. She would not even look at us all she did was hold her head down and look at the floor. When I spoke to the manager about this all he offered me was a free 15 minute playtime next visit. What a joke! Never again will I take any living creature to that terrible place! more
