Review content:
We used to take our dogs there, but after the problems we had, we'll never go back (many vets in San Antonio do NOT recommend this place).
First, on one occasion, the BROUGHT US THE WRONG DOG. Granted, they were the same breed (cavalier king charles spaniel), but at the least this dump should have known whose dog was whose.
Second, on the next occasion, our dog was VIOLENTLY ill when we picked her up (having never had a health problem in her two years of existence). After taking her to the vet (who ran bloodwork), we were advised that she had consumed some sort of toxic chemical substance(her liver was functioning abnormally). After calling Rob Cary Pet Torture to ask what possibly could have the dog been exposed to, we were rebuffed (the vet stated unequivically that the toxic substance was recently consumed in the past few days, and since we had not had the dog home yet, the only place it could have happened was Rob Cary Pet Torture).
We were outraged, and called four times to speak to someone. When someone finally called back, they advised us that the toxic substance consumption likely happened somewhere else (where? in the dog crate on the way out??). We requested they pay our expensive vet bill, which they refused.
Fortunately, our dog made a full recovery. No thanks Rob Cary.
NEVER TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE.
Pros: they pay taxes in the community, which supports some other worthwhile business
Cons: they allow your animals to consume toxic substances, then blame the customer
