The quality of the picture is wonderful. The HD channels are great. The customer service is good. They always answer fairly quickly and they always are Americans and try to be helpful, no matter what I ask. My two year contract was slightly more than it would have been with DirectTV with discounts. But after two years, I'll be paying $22 less/yr. than DirectTV. My DVR records for 2 TV's with no extra cost! That is only true if TV2 is standard definition, but that is a reasonable cost for me since my 2nd TV is smaller. If I want to watch HD, which is important to me, I watch it on TV1. But I can still record two HD channels at the same time and watch the recordings on either TV.
