They tried to rip me off! 1/31/2008

My car is a 2005 Honda Pilot and I always take it to the dealer to have my oil change but last week went to the Walmart on McFadden and Harbor and I saw Pro Japanese Auto Repair across from Walmart so I thought might as well let them change the oil while I shop. That turned out to be a mistake. I paid them $25 for the oil change, took my car home and next morning there was a puddle of oil on my drive way. I brought the car to Pro Jap and asked them to fix it and they told me that my oil pan seal is bad and needs to be replaced. I called my dealer and they told me to bring it in so they can take a look, since my car is still under warranty, and the dealer told me that the oil nut was loose. All they had to do is turn it half a turn and no more oil leak. I called Pro Jap and they told them what the dealer said and they couldn't give me any clear explanation why they wanted me to change my oil pan seal. I think they tried to rip me off. more
