Theater Development Fund (TDF) is one of the best kept secrets in the theater world. It is a membership only organization for teachers, students, members of the armed forces, clergy, staff of non-profits, retired people and union members to attend theater performances at reduced rates.
The membership fee is $25 and entitles you to receives notices of opportunities to purchase tickets to the latest Broadway, off-Broadway and dance performances. Tickets can be as little as $35--a real bargain! Some limitations include that you cannot select seating--it can be anywhere in a theater. And TDF will not replace a lost or stolen ticket so you'll want to keep it in a safe place.
