I sold 4 large off road tires on ebay for around $1100. I contacted numerous companies with the weight and deminsions of all 4 tires.
Dhl gave me the lowest quote $222 and said they would pick them up on Thur. Well thursday rolled around and no DHL, So now they said FRI. Well they picked them up took my check and cashed it and all was good or so i thought.
Now 6 months later i get a collection agency letter in the mail stating that i was overdue in paying DHL $1200. Finally contacted DHL gave them the info and it took 3 Rep's to even find my info in the Comp, They told me that they had billed me overnight for each tire by mistake funny thing is the tires took 12 days for delivery. Rep told me that she sees where the problem is and dont worry about it they will take care of everything.
Now 1 month later i get another letter from DHL telling me they reviewed my account and the problems i had and guess what they ruled in favor of themselves, I still owe them the money and they have no record of the previous phone call with their rep stating it was their fault. I allways thought that once a price for a service was agreed upon and the PKG is picked up and they take your payment that the buisness transaction is all done. Well DHL decides to change things with no thought to you and they dont even give you the reach around or the common decency to contact you to see if you still want the PKG delivered they just DO IT their way. never do buisness with DHL you will regret it.
