I have chosen McLendon's as an alternative to Home Depot (which is closer to my home) simply because the folks who work there are available, knowledgable, and helpful. Recently I was in there because I was refinishing a table given to me by my grandma and wanted to do it well. The man working in that department was EXCELLENT- knowledgable, and gave me information based on EXPERIENCE- something Home Depot seems to be lacking.
