Had a nice dinner tonight with friends from where I use to work. We all met at Romano"s Macaroni Grill http://www.macaronigrill.com/Home/Default.aspx in Augusta, GA. Our waitress was very nice and things started off well. there were 7 of us so it took time to get everything started, also we were not sure how many were coming and we waited to see if any others were going to show up.
Once we ordered it seemed to take a long time for the food to get there and we were beginning to get concerned till the manager came out and apologized for rhe delay. Seems one of the chefs was called away on an emergency and it slowed things down in the kitchen. She was very nice and said our order would be out shortly, and it was. I got the Create your own pasta, which was very good. You get a card and you choose what ever you want them to fix to go in your pasta bowl.
Well, everyone got their meal but me, and again the manager came by and ask did I get the create your own pasta. I told her I did and she said it was coming, that it was usually the last thing they prepared on an order so it would be hot. Within just a couple of min my order arrived and it was worth the wait. I chose Linguine with Pesto Sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, sliced artichokes, caramelized onions toped with sliced Italian Sausage. It was out of this world. Needless to say at this moment I am stuffed and can't eat another bite. I highly recommend The Macaroni Grill to anyone who loves pasta. I didn't hear any complains from anyone else at the table.
