Took a van belonging to my friends to be washed as a Christmas present. The car wash ripped off the passenger mirror.
Managers excuse for not accepting responsibility.
The mirror has scratches on it and that obviously weakened the structure of the mirror.
This was a folding mirror. If it had been hit from the front or behind it would have simply folded in. This was struck from the top or bottom.
I asked the manager "If we had folded the mirrors do you think this would have happened?"
His reply, "We will never know and it's not our responsibility to fold in the mirrors any more than it is our responsibility to roll up the windows".
I pointed out that they have a sign that tells customers to roll up the windows and that NON FACTORY accessories weren't AutoBell's responsibility.
Then the manager pointed out that none of the other cars had their mirrors torn off so it couldn't have been the wash that did it.
The replacement FACTORY mirror was $30 on E-bay with free shipping.
The manager didn't even comp the wash. He doesn't know what customer service is, doesn't adhere what is stated in the signage (AutoBell is not responsible for NON FACTORY equipment) and could care less about your car, your repeat business or their reputation.
