My son recently started playing an instrument in his school band. I have very little knowledge when it comes to instruments so I went into the local stores totally blind. My experience at two of the stores was less then stellar. Needless to say I walked into Meyer Music expecting much of the same; I was pleasantly surprised. I was promptly greeted and asked how they could help. The store was extremely busy, but it was well staffed and I never felt rushed. They asked what school my son was attending and new all of the specifics on what the band director wanted when it came to brand and such. I ended up renting a reasonably priced used trumpet and have been very pleased. I have brought it in a number of times for general maintenance and have found the repair staff to be prompt, and always willing to talk with me. If every store was as good as Meyer Music, we would be extremely lucky.
