Meijers does it's best, but it is still just a box store. And honestly it doesn't have all the best deals. But there's a deal of the day - see my reviews - which is nice and there's a great selection of produce. I do like shopping there, everything in one place, and it's Michigan based.
But I am disappointed that they got rid of the union - I heard they fired everyone that belonged to the union and hired new people. Saying they couldn't afford the unionized paychecks.
Well, show me a store I can afford that's fair to it's workers and I'll shop there. :)
