Meijer Inc.

Meijer's is a localized shopping center, much like a Super Wal-mart. You can find food, clothing, live pets, greeting cards, and much more. The grocery section is the largest in the city, and offers a large supply of snack foods, drinks, and even dishes to put the snacks in for parties. The prices are decent when an item is not on sale, but the sale prices are amazing. Pair them up with coupons, and you can walk out of Meijer's with $50 worth of groceries for around $10- I've done it! Meijer's offers the best selection for alcoholic drinks in town, with two long aisles and a center wine section. The freezer section for snacks is an aisle long, and they often have great sales on those snacks, especially during football season in the fall & winter, and during the summer for when kids are out of school and needing a quick snack. more

Meijers does it's best, but it is still just a box store. And honestly it doesn't have all the best deals. But there's a deal of the day - see my reviews - which is nice and there's a great selection of produce. I do like shopping there, everything in one place, and it's Michigan based. But I am disappointed that they got rid of the union - I heard they fired everyone that belonged to the union and hired new people. Saying they couldn't afford the unionized paychecks. Well, show me a store I can afford that's fair to it's workers and I'll shop there. :) more

This store in Mt. Pleasant for the most part has always been helpful and courteous, but I have ran into a couple of bad apples. Which when you come a cross an employee that is not very friendly, it can give the store a bad reputation. I have shopped their for several years and I really like the fact that they have a little bit of everything. It makes it very convenient when you can stop into a store and get everything that you need all in one shop. The only thing that they really need to do is pay attention to the employees that are having the bad attitude with the customers, because I have been really offended by some of them and it is not a good feeling. more
