Tossed is a fun "make your own" salad place. They have many inventive ingredients so eating your veggies is anything but boring. First you choose your lettuce: iceberg, romaine, spring mix, spinach. Then the combinations of what you can add are endless. Tofu, chicken and shrimp are their protein choices. I like to combine lots of colourful items, like roasted corn, green beans, red peppers, olives, pine nuts, blue cheese. If you're a meat lover you can throw in bacon (I don't think beef is a protein option) or even egg slices. They also have a large selection of about 12 dressings. Your salad is prepared fresh right before your eyes in about 10 min and served with a slice of whole-grain bread. Sometimes it can get a little pricey if you get lots of add-ins (~$8 for what I listed above) but it's a healthy, quick meal.
