I've always thought the Meatpacking district of NYC was filled with people that were TCFS (too coo for school) and that really turned me off from that whole scene. I'd rather just put on some jeans and drink a beer, and now I've found the perfect spot in that area to do so! Brass Monkey is at the end of Little West 12th street, tucked away amongst the old meat packing companies. It's brick interior has a few tables and a long, spacious bar. Dancing in the back, and the music is always great. If you're not up for a super-posh club, this bar is well worth the trip downtown.
