I went to premiere opening of a new store to open the next day in Tacoma Washington called Save A Lot. My first opinion I must say was wrong (HMMMM - a woman saying she was wrong hummm). Last night I entered through the door and there was such loud music that we had to yell to talk to each other, the first thing is I get a girl yelling at us at the top of her voice (the music) saying that tonight you can't buy groceries and you could just look around at the prices and products. That was what we did and I thought well this is just like any other store with a couple things cheaper and I couldn't find anyone to talk to so we left after looking around. So on the way home I stated to my husband I don't see that store out doing any body else around this area. The next day we arrived at the store and they only had 4 parking spots for handicaps and we had to wait for someone to leave before we could park and it was raining, but it only took about 3 minutes before we parked and entering the store I felt entirely different than the day before as we were greeted nicely at the door and a few times by different management and help and we were made to feel like the store was put there just for us, it was a good feeling to know that they were there for all of us to make money for their company but not to take all ours for a change. Wow what a new concept - actually meaning for the public. If you live anywhere in Tacoma you really must try out this new store the prices will floor you on some of the items such as an every day price of $2.99 for 34.5 ounces of coffee Chase&SanBorn which is on sale at other places for about $5.99 some times even more, so if you look at the bright side buy 2 of them and you are saving $6.00 so you are getting 1 free. Makes sense to me. The other things that are on sale are at everyday prices which do not change, only (manager) told me that only the 3 page ads that come out, the price change are the ELP. (The items are advertised in the 3 page ads.)
I bought my grandchildren sweat sets that are beautiful for $3.00 each and they are good ones. They are open 8-9 Sun-Sat they accept checks, credit debit and food stamps they are located at 1105 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Tacoma Wa., they have a phone number but I don't know if I am aloud to give it out. Bring your own plastic bags as they will give them to you for 3 cents for small ones, 10 cents for large ones,(each) or you can box them for free. This is part of how they keep the cost down for us. If you are handicapped they will offer to help. This is great I enjoyed packing my groceries my way so I know they won't spill or crush my bread.
