HORRIBLE customer service 2/17/2007

The one great thing about Michael C Fina is the enormous selection of china and stemware and flatware. If you're about to get married, you can get everything in one place. That being said, this place has the most unbelievably poor customer service imaginable. Once you've opened your registry and been sucked in, they leave you hanging. You really have to stay on top of them to make sure they have your address down right, that they ship items when you tell them to, and inspect to make sure it's not broken. I received a broken piece of china and brought it in to the NYC store to be replaced. Because it was French bone china, there was nothing the same color in the store so I had them special order a replacement which they said would take a few months as it was on back order. That was last June. (2006). As of FEBRUARY 2007, after 8 different phone calls and a store visit - I was told the item was on backorder, and it would be another few months, each time. I was also promised I would get a phone call with status and never did. I then left messages for 2 store managers and they never bothered returning my call. When I finally escalated to a Fina, they had the item to me in a week. Obviously the store staff are either very lazy, or complete liars. Remember this name - Geoffrey Fina. You'll need it if you actually expect to receive items you have on your registry, or if you ever order anything from them. more
