I had a fuel filter replaced at Woodfield Schaumburg Firestone, and I asked the mechanic if he replaced the plastic clips that hold the lines in place. He said both clips were replaced with new clips. I got my car back and inspected it myself. One of the clips looked old. A couple days later I went to a different firestone and asked them to check it. They confirmed it was an old (original) clip, so they changed it for me real quick (nothing had to be taken apart, it was very easy). Everything was rechecked, and the car returned to me (no charge). I contacted the manager at the Schaumburg location to discuss my concerns about being lied to by his mechanic, and the manager became defensive and rude. I went to the Schaumburg store, and the manager would not even meet/talk with me. So I spoke to the only remaining mechanic at Schaumburg that I like/trust and explained everything to him... gave him the clip, and asked him to show it to the manager since he wouldn't talk to me. This whole experience was very upsetting. Me, my brother, parents, 1 neighbor, and any friends I referred to them in the past will not be going to the Schaumburg firestone anymore. All they had to do was tell me they reused a clip (not lie), or get a new clip (less than $1). They lost at least 5 customers for lying about a cheap plastic clip and of course the rude customer treatment. I was a customer for over 3 years. This was my 3rd and last bad experience with the Woodfield Schaumburg location. In my personal opinion, if you value your vehicle... do not go to this shop. more
