Shogun, a delicious Japanese restaurant in downtown Salinas, CA, has a wonderful selection of Japanese food. I am not a fan of sushi (more of a California Roll kind of guy), but I love their teriyaki chicken plate. I do not know the exact term of the plate, but it comes in a tray divided into several sections. The other sections have battered, fried veggies and battered, fried shrimp. They also have an assortment of authentic Japanese ice creams, which I was too afraid to try. I cannot stress enough of how delicious the teriyaki chicken was. It was definitely the best teriyaki chicken I have ever had.
