Winco is a great place to go to get cheap groceries. But just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's bad quality. The bakery has delicious fresh-baked bread, which I highly recommend. While their selection of organic and vegetarian products isn't as extensive as Fred Meyer, they do have some and you can get a box of veggie burgers for about a dollar cheaper. There are a couple of negatives about Winco. They always have a shortage of cashiers, so expect a line no matter what day of the week you go. They don't have self-checkout or an express line either, so I wouldn't recommend going if you just need to pick out one or two items-you'll be waiting behind the woman with three carts. Also, they don't take credit or debit cards, so make sure to go to your bank first so you don't have to pay an atm fee!
