Akita is one of the more flavorful places in town. The only problem at lunch is that you get way more food than most people could eat. The place doesn’t have a separate lunch menu. Plan on spending about $7-8 for lunch or supper. The shrimp sauce is great. I also suggest adding the onions and zucchini to your meal. The spices aren’t too strong – there’s not the strong ginger that’s usually in most Japanese cooking. It’s usually pretty crowded, but don’t let it scare you. The service and the cooking is pretty quick. Enjoy!
