When Krispy Kreme opened a few years ago, there was quite the excitement. People claimed these doughnuts were heaven on earth. While I'm not a huge fan of doughnuts, I must agree that their original glazed doughnut is heavenly. I've tried a few of the other varieties, but nothing comes close to their basic glazed and even they know that. One nice thing about this store is their roadside sign that lights up when a new batch comes out. Also, this company is good to the local community. I've been at several events recently where they have donated their treats for a good cause, so you can enjoy and feel good about supporting this store at the same time.
