Delicious family owned Pizzaria 3/29/2006

Bianca Pizza and Pasta is a locally owned family establishment that has survived years in a perpetual construction zone. Their new location at 2790-4 W.Tenessee St (near Appleyard Drive) is much nicer than their previous location. The menu ranges from Pizzas, Pastas, calzones, subs, burgers, etc. I'd highly recommend the lunch specials where you can get a calzone or pasta dish with a salad and a drink for $6 (11am-4pm the non-lunch menu entrees range from $5-12 so you can always find a cheap meal). They also have a bar and a happy hour (2-4-1) from 5-9pm and the waiter mentioned something about beer-pong tournaments on weekend. Bianca's does have a slight attitude that caters to the nearby college students (aside from the beer pong)...the waiters wear shirts with the message "hey ladies, try our italian sausage," (just something to consider...I probably wouldn't bring my ultra-conservative grandmother here, for example). They have nice lcd tv's for watching games and an outdoor patio with two tv's and umbrellas. I think they still do pizza by the slice - but I did not see it on the menu (and was distracted by a stromboli that I wanted to try) and forgot to ask. At the old location it was $3 for a large slice of pizza and a pepsi. I'd highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for good, locally owned, and relatively inexpensive Italian. more
