I first came to Facet's to watch "Children of Paradise" in their theater. They run it every year around the holidays.
If you are not familiar with this movie go and find it immediately. It has been my favorite for years. Of course the problem is, it is hard to find. Go to Facets if you are in Chi town.
In addition to the upstairs theater they have a huge room downstairs that has a big collection of videos to rent.
These are not the ones you find at Blockbuster. These are old, foreign, esoteric or films that are valuable and of interest to film buffs.
Since this place is not as convenient as your local megalithic video store, you will not continue to use this resource unless you are really hard core.
